Welcome to the Avon Guild Website
The Avon Guild are having their Open Day on the 12th October 2024, 11:00 - 15:00 in the Bowls Pavilion - behind the Main Hall at the Long Ashton Community Centre, Keedwell Hill.
Come and see what we do and have a go at spinning or weaving. There will be an exhibition as well as items for sale. There will also be refreshments and a tombola.
A Community of Textile Makers
The Avon Guild of Spinners, Weavers and Dyers aim is to promote and encourage those interested the art of spinning, weaving and dyeing.
Members are of all standards, from beginners to professional teachers. The Guild caters for everyone, with varied programmes of lectures, demonstrations and workshops. Public exhibitions are held from time to time for members to exhibit their work and demonstrate crafts.
The Avon Guild meets on the 2nd Saturday of every month, excluding August, in the Bowls Pavillion at Long Ashton Community Centre, Keedwell Hill, Long Ashton, Bristol BS41 9DP.
Meetings start at 10:30, workshops usually begin at 11:00 and talks at 13:00.
New members are always welcome. Come as a visitor for a day and see what we do.
