The next Guild meeting is Saturday 13th June 2026.

This meeting we are having a workshop looking at warping up and weaving on Rigid Heddle Looms.

Bring your loom and whatever yarn you wish to use.

At the start of the meeting Claire is also going to talk about how to wash and finish your lovely hand spun skeins.

A Community of Textile Makers

The Avon Guild of Spinners, Weavers and Dyers aim is to promote and encourage those interested the art of spinning, weaving and dyeing.

Members are of all standards, from beginners to professional teachers. The Guild caters for everyone, with varied programmes of lectures, demonstrations and workshops. Public exhibitions are held from time to time for members to exhibit their work and demonstrate crafts.

The Avon Guild meets on the 2nd Saturday of every month, excluding August, in the Bowls Pavillion at Long Ashton Community Centre, Keedwell Hill, Long Ashton, Bristol BS41 9DP.

Meetings start at 10:30, workshops usually begin at 11:00 and talks at 13:00.

New members are always welcome. Come as a visitor for a day and see what we do.
