Welcome to the Avon Guild Website
The next Guild meeting is Saturday 12th September 2026.
This meeting Frances and Claire will be demonstrating crochet techniques. Please feel free to bring your own yarn and Tunisian crochet hook.
Apologies for not doing the eco-dyeing this month. This will be carried out in November.
We are having an Open Day on 10th October, where members will be demonstrating their various skills. Refreshments will be available. There will also be an exhibition of textile work as well as sales.
A Community of Textile Makers
The Avon Guild of Spinners, Weavers and Dyers aim is to promote and encourage those interested the art of spinning, weaving and dyeing.
Members are of all standards, from beginners to professional teachers. The Guild caters for everyone, with varied programmes of lectures, demonstrations and workshops. Public exhibitions are held from time to time for members to exhibit their work and demonstrate crafts.
The Avon Guild meets on the 2nd Saturday of every month, excluding August, in the Bowls Pavillion at Long Ashton Community Centre, Keedwell Hill, Long Ashton, Bristol BS41 9DP.
Meetings start at 10:30, workshops usually begin at 11:00 and talks at 13:00.
New members are always welcome. Come as a visitor for a day and see what we do.
