The next Guild meeting is Saturday 9th May 2026.

This meeting we are having a workshop with Frances - weaving around a box. The workshop will begin at 11:00.

Frances will provide boxes ready warped up. You may bring your own yarn for the weft, but Frances will also have some that can be used.

A Community of Textile Makers

The Avon Guild of Spinners, Weavers and Dyers aim is to promote and encourage those interested the art of spinning, weaving and dyeing.

Members are of all standards, from beginners to professional teachers. The Guild caters for everyone, with varied programmes of lectures, demonstrations and workshops. Public exhibitions are held from time to time for members to exhibit their work and demonstrate crafts.

The Avon Guild meets on the 2nd Saturday of every month, excluding August, in the Bowls Pavillion at Long Ashton Community Centre, Keedwell Hill, Long Ashton, Bristol BS41 9DP.

Meetings start at 10:30, workshops usually begin at 11:00 and talks at 13:00.

New members are always welcome. Come as a visitor for a day and see what we do.
